Not all automation opportunities require a solution involving new equipment. Our engineering staff works with end users to find and re-deploy used equipment to incorporate into a new automation cell. This approach can save the customer significant monies and reduce overall implementation schedule.

Customer had placed equipment in storage for over 10 years. An increase in product demand prompted them to contact J.H. Benedict to discuss the possibility of a complete mechanical, pneumatic and electrical refurbishment. All components were removed, cabinet was blasted and repainted, all hoses replaced and the controls group upgraded electronics with new PLC. Project completed for less than 60% the cost of new equipment and in 8 weeks less time.

Customer relocated machine from factory in Canada to facility in the Midwest. In addition to converting from 575VAC to 480 VAC, J.H. Benedict completed modifications to handle longer (124″) and heavier parts (up to 2,500 lbs). Equipment was completely gone through and worn components replaced in addition to all necessary electrical upgrades and modifications.
